THE ETERNAL FLIHGT

The Eternal Flight is a striking sculpture that embodies the timeless allure of movement and grace, crafted from layers of intricately arranged feathers. The piece captures a moment of suspended motion, as if these wings are frozen mid-beat, propelling toward an unseen horizon. Dark, earthy tones emphasize the natural textures and delicate veining of each feather, evoking a sense of quiet strength and resilience. The swirling arrangement suggests both power and fragility, a balance between the earthbound and the celestial. The Eternal Flight invites the viewer to ponder the freedom and boundless potential of flight—a metaphor for life’s continual journey, ever unfolding in cycles of ascent and return.

Textures of Loneliness

My art explores the themes of loneliness and disconnection that come from our constant use of technology. I use natural textures like rocks and bark, which I collect on my hikes, to create collages that contrast the grounding, organic world with the isolating distractions of screens. Each piece is a reflection on the beauty of being present and the challenge of finding genuine connection in a digital age.

MAN MYTH MORMON

"Man? Myth? Mormon" explores the mystical roots of Mormonism, inspired by the life and stories of Joseph Smith. Growing up Mormon, I was always fascinated by how history evolves through the stories we tell. I wanted to be part of that narrative, retelling these tales as I remember them—magical, mystical, and deeply Mormon. This series reflects the stories that have stayed with me long after leaving the faith, using natural textures and layered compositions to capture the enchantment, mystery, and myth surrounding Joseph Smith and his visions. While some Mormons may be hesitant to speak about the more fantastical aspects of their faith, those were always the parts I loved most. Each piece invites viewers to engage with the space between belief and imagination, where a man’s story transforms into a movement’s myth.
